By downloading or using Franco you agree to these terms. Please read them before use.
By downloading or using Franco, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not download or use the app.
Franco is offered as an auto-renewing annual subscription via Apple's In-App Purchase. New users receive a 7-day free trial; after the trial, the subscription auto-renews annually at the price displayed in the app at sign-up (AUD $99/year at launch, with regional pricing in other currencies). Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period unless you cancel beforehand. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple per their standard App Store refund policy.
Franco is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the app or its content for commercial purposes.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all data you enter into Franco, including manually entered trades, dividends, property details, superannuation balances, corporate actions, and FIRE goals. You are also responsible for reviewing the accuracy of any data imported via broker or exchange CSV files, PDF contract notes, dividend statements, ETF annual tax statements (AMMA), super fund statements, or property manager statements — whether imported via the in-app import tile or shared via the iOS share sheet. Franco does not verify imported data against external records. The parsers Franco uses are best-effort: they may extract incorrect values, miscategorise line items, or omit fields entirely, particularly for documents from sources Franco has not been specifically tested against. You must review every imported record before saving. Errors in imported data may lead to incorrect calculations throughout the app, including incorrect capital gains, franking credit, and FIRE projection figures.
Franco provides backup and restore functionality so you can protect your data and transfer it between devices. You are responsible for creating and securely storing your own backups. The developer is not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or failure to maintain backups. Restoring from a backup will overwrite or merge with your existing data — review the restore options carefully before proceeding.
Nothing in Franco constitutes financial product advice, investment advice, taxation advice, or superannuation advice. Franco is a tracking and modelling tool only. See the Disclaimer for full details.
Franco relies on third-party providers including Yahoo Finance and CoinGecko for price data, and an address search service for property address suggestions. The availability and accuracy of these services is not guaranteed. Franco is not responsible for interruptions to or errors in third-party data.
Franco extracts text from PDF files locally on your device. For PDFs containing only images, Franco may use Apple's on-device Vision text recognition. Text extraction and OCR are best-effort and may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or misordered text — especially on low-resolution scans, rotated documents, or documents using unusual fonts. You should not rely on Franco's parse of any document as the source of truth; always verify against the original document.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Franco, including but not limited to financial loss, data loss, or reliance on calculations or projections shown in the app.
Franco is provided on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, free from errors, or compatible with all future iOS versions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via an app update. Continued use of Franco after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
